Springbok Aussie Tri-Nations Test

A Springbok Rugby test match against the Wallabies or the All Blacks is always an event not to miss. The atmosphere in the stadium is sensational, especially since these are normally sell-out games. I got the privilege of being invited the HDi Group and Pantech box at Kingspark Stadium, Durban to watch the showdown between Australia and South Africa … what a treat – the Boks certainly had their ‘A’ team on the field at kick off. Their box is located really close the field so you feel part of the game. It was an absolute thrill so thank you Tim from HDi for the invite. Below are a few of the pictures I was able to capture from the experience.

The national anthems prior to the game

Apart from the one Aussie try, the game was all the boot from the two flyhalfs.

Yes Marc ... I was also marvelling at the amazing lens!

Enjoying a quality meal at half time.

Yip the meal at half time was scrumptious.

Spies puts in a sensational side step but was stopped short of the tryline.

The crowd querying the disallowed Springbok try and wondering what could have been.

DuPreez putting in the last gasp, rain-drenched effort in the dying minutes to get the elusive winning try. It was not to be. Wallbies won 14-9.

Enjoying the post game drinks

There was a somber post game mood from the Springbok supporters seeing their team not be able to keep the intensity for 80 minutes.
