Sometimes we do need to travel some distances to capture those great shots but in some cases the shots are made great on their own by the canvas we have to work with. In this case it was an incredible home in Southbroom on the south coast of KwaZulu Natal. A once small dwelling on large plot of land, the home owners have taken lifestyle and sea views into careful consideration in the design of this home built for family.
The home is fully automated via a sophisticated home automation system and is also taken good care of by their Malawian caretaker and cook – I recognized his accent as soon as he greeted me! It brought back good memories of my years in Malawi and we had a good chat about the warm heart of Africa before I got going with the job at hand. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being able to showcase this home and, before heading back to Durban, appreciated being able to connect with the home owners – amazing people with such humility surrounding their achievements in life. A small world as the husband was at Maritzburg College with my father and knew him well!
Oh my word, that is one seriously amazing house….I wanna live there!
